If there’s one thing I can’t get enough of in photos and videos, it’s aurora borealis. And if you’re like me, photographer Vincent Ledvina has created something perfect. After spending nearly three weeks in Alaska, he combined thousands of photos of northern lights he took at different locations and created a magnificent timelapse compilation.
Vincent is a young astrophysics student, but also an avid aurora photographer and online educator. He is based in North Dakota, but his northern light chase recently took him to Fort Yukon, Alaska. In fact, as he explained on Instagram, chasing aurora and reporting on its activity was a part of his job in Alaska. A dream job, right?
A post shared by Vincent Ledvina (@vincentledvina) Of course, Vincent used the opportunity to spend some of the time outside and take photos of his favorite subject. He devoted eight nights to this activity, shooting with three cameras on different locations. The end result combines over 8,000 photos in this beautiful timelapse compilation he has created. Paired with an epic soundtrack, the whole video truly is a pleasure to watch. Make sure to follow more of Vincent’s adventures on his Instagram and website, and subscribe to his YouTube channel. If you’re an aurora admirer, I’m sure you will enjoy it. [4K Aurora Timelapse Compilation, Feb-March, 2022, Fort Yukon, Alaska via Laughing Squid]
