Today, OnePlus has officially announced One Plus 5. It’s their latest smartphone, and according to the camera specs, it’s aimed at photographers (or “phoneographers”). It’s a smartphone with the highest resolution dual-camera system currently on the market. Other than this, it allows a few other features that make it competitive to high-end smartphones like iPhone 7 Plus.
The man camera of OnePlus 5 features a 1/2.8″ 16MP Sony IMX 398 sensor, and a wide aperture of f/1.7. The second camera features a 20MP 1/2.8″ Sony IMX 350 sensor and f/2.6 aperture.
Additionally, the phone is equipped with the Portrait Mode, similar to one of the iPhone 7 Plus. It blurs the background and leaves the subject sharp to simulate a large depth of field. It allows the user to control the parameters such as ISO, white balance, shutter-speed, focus and exposure modification. In addition, there’s an on-screen histogram and RAW image file support. The phone’s Smart Capture combines optical zoom with multi-frame technology. Thanks to this, you’ll have clear images even when they’re zoomed in. We will soon publish a review of the OnePlus 5 smartphone, so stay tuned. And in the meantime, take a look at the rest of the specs:
