Kristine and Calen filmed the elopement adventure of Kaleb and Evita. They camped out in a canvas tent in Moab and exchanged vows in gorgeous Arches National Park. The video includes vows exchange and many warm and loving scenes between the happy couple. I’ll even dare to admit that I got some tears in my eyes, but let’s blame it on the ninjas cutting onions. And let’s get to the gear. The photographers used iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to make the footage. As for the additional equipment, they used Filmic Pro app, DJI Osmo Mobile, Beastgrip Pro, and an assortment of Hoya filters and Moment lenses. And they created something magical.
This is the reason Kristine and Calen decided to film using iPhones:
In my humble opinion, they have achieved exactly what they wanted. The video indeed shows the couple’s story and their love. The light is gorgeous, as well as the editing. Videography experts would probably see that it’s made with a phone, but if I didn’t know it, I doubt I would guess. Now, of course, fancy gear has its advantages, and iPhone camera can’t be compared to RED Weapon (or can it?). But when you focus on the story and the feelings, I think you might as well capture them with a potato. [Let’s Elope in Moab – Shot on iPhone 7 via SLRLounge]
