Advertisements The overall winner of AAP Magazine 18 B&W is Donald Graham from the US with his image Foxy, Los Angeles, California from the series One Of A Kind. The second place was awarded to Angelika Kollin from the US for her moving image God gives and God takes away from the series You are my mother. Andrea Borgarello, whose photo you can see in the heading, is the third-place winner. His photo is titled Making Plans for ‘l’Aventure or The Backway and it’s a part of the series Notes on Migration.
Other than the winners of the first three places, there are 22 more talented photographers whose work was recognized. They come from 13 different countries and their work reflects their personal aesthetic and unique approach to black and white photography. “It was wonderful to discover so many great works and compelling pictures,” the jury commented. “Clearly black and white photography continues to hold a prominent place in our hearts and imaginations!” I personally love black and white photography, so I enjoyed these images a lot.
